Located in the heart of California’s Bay Area, Washington Hospital Healthcare System is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and community-engaged leader as Chief of the Patient Experience.

This hands-on leader will be a crucial organizational influencer at one of Northern California’s highest rated district hospitals, designing and implementing new processes and standards to further improve the already strong patient experience. Responsible for working across the award-winning, Level II Trauma and Magnet Hospital, the Chief of the Patient Experience will roll up their sleeves to better the patient and family experience.

Position Summary

The Chief of the Patient Experience is responsible for driving and fostering a culture of patient and family centered care and service excellence, while improving the experience and patient relations across the system. This individual will be responsible for leading the health system's efforts to distinguish itself based on the quality of the experience. The Chief of the Patient Experience works directly with the Executive Teams across the Health System affiliates to develop a consistent, holistic model of compassionate and connected care. This hands-on leader will be a constant fixture in both the inpatient and ambulatory setting, rounding on patients to get real-time feedback from both patients and team members. This leader will collaborate closely with quality, safety, performance improvement, nursing, medical operations, and human resources leaders to integrate and standardize the model of care with patient experience at the center. In conjunction with Administration, this position is responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with the patient experience process and strategies.
