Opportunity

MedStar Health, a premier health system serving Maryland and the Washington D.C. region, is seeking a forward-thinking, dedicated, and influential analytics professional as its next Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Analytics.

 

As a leader of MedStar Health – the largest healthcare provider in the national capital region – the AVP of Enterprise Analytics is accountable for transforming data into a strategic asset that generates meaningful organizational benefits. This individual will hold a highly recognized role promoting the vision, development, and execution of business intelligence and analytics strategies across the MedStar enterprise. Key priorities include setting a data governance strategy for the analytics hub, with a focus on engaging and advising the organization in the development and consumption of data to guide business transformation decisions along the healthcare continuum. The AVP of Enterprise Analytics will foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and data literacy that optimizes analytical insights across business, clinical, and technical functions of the enterprise.

Position Summary

As a vital member of MedStar’s management team, the Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Analytics provides strategy and business transformation leadership for MedStar’s centralized analytics infrastructure including people, data, processes, and technology. This leader will be responsible for promoting the vision, development, and execution of intelligence and analytics strategies, with a mission to serve as an analytics hub that engages and advises the organization in the development and consumption of data to guide decisions along the healthcare continuum.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, information management, or other healthcare, computer science, or engineering field is preferred.

Experience

  • 10 years of experience in analytics/informatics, report development, systems management, and 7 years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience in applied healthcare technology or health system analytics is strongly preferred, but not required.

Compensation
