MDwise, a subsidiary of McLaren, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to manage and improve the operations at one of Indiana’s best health plans. A vast and deep experience in operational management, knowledge of and ease with Medicaid, and strong leadership attributes will define the successful candidates for this position.

Position Summary

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for managing the operations of McLaren’s Indiana-based subsidiary MDwise. The CEO must understand Managed Medicaid programs, drivers of medical loss ratios (MLRs), have a vision to reduce costs, and improve care. The CEO will be responsible for understanding pharmacy benefits as well as how to control pharmacy costs. The CEO will provide the leadership, strategic guidance, and management direction necessary to fulfill McLaren’s Integrated HMO Group’s aspirations in line with the Mission and Vision outlined above.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of health plan executive management experience, including success in the following areas:

• Developing and managing a successful operations program;
• Successfully managing MLR by understanding and executing efficient clinical strategies;
• Reducing administrative costs;
• Managing and providing the highest quality care;
• Managing pharmacy benefits and reducing pharmacy costs.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or other relevant advanced degree(s) preferred.
