Novant Health, a premier $10B healthcare system serving North Carolina and South Carolina, is seeking a transformational leader as its inaugural Chief Revenue Officer to integrate the revenue cycle across the entire organization.

A newly created position, the Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer will steward Novant’s holistic revenue cycle strategy to a single billing office with the opportunity to streamline the function’s efficiency and effectiveness from front to back. Reporting directly to the enterprise CFO, this big-picture leader represents the finance leadership cabinet to set a clear course for both the acute and professional revenue cycles at Novant collaborating with and inspiring financial, operational, clinical, and technology leaders across the organization to build on strengths and set go-forward standards of excellence. Key priorities include denials management with payers to improve cash collections, reducing cost-to-collect via labor arbitrage and technology solutions, and Epic optimization for the strategic development of a seamless patient financial experience. As the system grows, this leader will also identify integration opportunities for revenue cycle services.

Position Summary

The Senior Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer will provide centralized leadership for all revenue cycle functions at Novant Health, strategically overseeing the organization’s revenue cycle program in order to generate sufficient cash flow to support operations and strategic initiatives. As the lead revenue cycle executive, the CRO has responsibility for the full scope of revenue cycle departments, services, and functions for Novant Health acute, ambulatory, and physician practices.
