Opportunity
Cooper University Health Care, a premier $2.4B academic health system serving the South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia region, is seeking a strategic and collaborative cancer service line professional as its next Vice President of Institute Strategy (MD Anderson).
As the voice and face of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, this institute leader will lead the continued advancement of the MDA partnership and position Cooper as the premier provider of cancer services in the region. This mission critical leader reports directly to Cooper’s Senior Vice President and Chief Regional Officer and partners closely with a physician co-leader to craft a cohesive vision for cancer services, co-develop and lead the execution of plans to grow Cooper’s cancer program, and build and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners. Key priorities include (1) developing market volume expansion and retention strategies, (2) designing new and innovative ways to recruit oncologists, and (3) leading a pathway for NCI designation.
Position Summary
Partnering with a physician leader, the Vice President will bring executive level thinking and a strategic mindset to the Institute Strategy (MD Anderson) position.
- She/he must be able to build a cohesive vision for cancer services and lead the execution of a well-developed plan to achieve system-level goals and objectives.
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to grow programs while building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide variety of clinical partners.
- Along with key physician leaders, this person will be the voice and face of MDA Cancer Center at Cooper and must be able to manage complex relationships and multiple stakeholders.
- The Vice President will lead the continued advancement of the MD Anderson partnership and help position Cooper as the premier provider of cancer services across the region.

Position Requirements
A master's degree is required.
Compensation
An attractive compensation, benefits, and relocation package will be offered, with a base salary of $200,000 to $425,000 plus bonus. The compensation structure is commensurate with the candidate's experience.
