Opportunity
Rudish Health is currently seeking seasoned Chief Nursing Officer candidates for future Interim assignments with our hospital and health system clients. An Interim Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides leadership for the nursing and professional staffs to insure consistent, high-quality care delivery in a cost-effective manner. They will develop and implement the philosophy and objectives of the department, which are keeping with the overall system mission and objectives. As a member of the Executive team, the ideal candidate will excel in a leadership role, with the ability to plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate activities.
Position Summary
- Ensures and maintains compliance with codes, standards, and regulations including but not limited to; those of local, state, and federal authorities, the Joint Commission, OSHA, and standards of Nursing Practice
- Actively participates in development, review, and evaluation of decisions affecting policies and procedures, program planning, and integration of hospital goals and objectives affecting the delivery of patient care services
- Provides leadership and education to the nursing staff and other patient care personnel regarding nursing practice standards and requirements
- Establishes, monitors, and oversees quality management activities for patient care, treatment, and services delivered to patients
- Acts as a liaison to designated medical staff members and hospital management
- Plans, directs, implements, and evaluates computer-based patient care/nursing information systems
- As a member of the senior leadership team, provides input on overall strategic direction of the hospital
- Establishes and evaluates effective staffing levels
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to discuss continuity of patient care services
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal licensing and state policies, and current nursing practice standards
Position Requirements
- Substantial experience as a CNO at a major US hospital or health system.
- Master's degree is preferred
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of the facility
