Opportunity
McLaren Health Care, a premier integrated delivery system serving Michigan and Indiana, is seeking a highly qualified turnaround leader as its next Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bay Region Hospital.
Reporting directly to the enterprise CFO as a senior executive, the hospital CFO will hold a highly visible role as a strategic and operational partner to system leadership, the hospital President, COO, CNO, and shared services teams. Responsibilities include overseeing entity fiscal operations for the $310M facility with a focus on budget management (operating and capital), accounting, treasury, and financial reporting and analysis. An immediate priority is performance recovery to breakeven and deliver on margin improvement targets.
Position Summary
The VP and CFO, Bay Regional Hospital is responsible for the preparation and administration of McLaren Bay Region’s capital and operational budget as well as maintaining necessary bank lines of credit. This leader functions as Treasurer of McLaren Bay Region, evaluates current and proposed operational systems and programs, and plans for and implements programs and methods to enhance or maintain the state of the art in clinical and operational areas/disciplines.
Position Requirements
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five years progressive management experience in financial services in hospital(s) with similar range and scope of services
- Experience working in a union environment, while not required, is preferred.
